Avant Acoustics’ audio visual consultants have been making news lately. While all of our projects are worth writing about, only a select few make it to the
publications page on our website. We’ll talk about the three most recent projects discussed there below.

Columbia Regional Airport
The audio visual consultants at Avant designed the complex pagans system and the MIZZOU fight song plays in baggage claim when your luggage arrives. The airport’s new terminal features a wider concourse and new amenities for families that the original area could not provide. The airport has an $800,000 grant awarded to COU by the U.S. Department of Transportation in February 2020 that could allow a flight service to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Blue Springs Recreation Complex and Aquatic Center
Avant teamed up with SFS Architecture to provide audio visual consultant help in designing an acoustical system appropriate for loud indoor spaces. This expansion to the existing field house adds an indoor/outdoor aquatics expansion. It will also feature a natatorium that houses a 25-yard lap pool and a rock wall for climbing and cliff diving, and indoor splash pad, program pool with a current channel, hot tub, and steam sauna.
Heckart Community Center
Avant’s audio visual consultants worked with multiple partners to design the acoustics and noise control for this state of the art water park and rec facility in Sedalia, Missouri. The facility is multi-purpose and includes an indoor aquatic facility, community center rooms, convention space, basketball/volleyball/pickleball courts, a fitness area, party rooms, child watch area, an indoor playground, and will be the home of the Sedalia Senior Center.
