Lenexa Justice Center – Lenexa, Kansas

Lenexa Justice Center – Lenexa, Kansas

The new Lenexa Justice Center, which includes the home of the Lenexa Police Department, Municipal Court, and a public Community Room was opened officially with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, August 26th.

The ceremony included Mayor Julie Sayers, Chief of Police Dawn Layman, and Judge Erika DeMarco, who welcomed the attendees. An overview of the project was provided by our friends at Finkle+Williams Architecture and JE Dunn Construction who also thanked the team of designers and subcontractors which includes AVANT ACOUSTICS.

AVANT was honored to be part of the Finkle+Williams Architecture team and provided acoustical recommendations and audio-visual system design for the Municipal Court facilities, the Community Room, as well as the training rooms, fitness center, conference and briefing spaces and offices for the Police Department.

Our project team leader was Robert Ledo, Senior Principal. “What I enjoyed the most about the project was the variety of spaces supporting the different user groups. That gave me the chance to speak with numerous individuals to understand how we could better serve their unique needs for the new facility.”
