Independence Schools – William Chrisman and Truman High Schools
The AVANT ACOUSTICS team worked with Hollis + Miller Architects on multiple projects at several high school campuses on acoustics and audio-visual designs for the Independence Schools District.
TRUMAN HS; Auditorium (pictured above) Choir Room, Orchestra Room, Practice Rooms and Lecture Hall.
WILLIAM CHRISMAN HS: Auditorium (pictured at right), Choir Room, Band Room, Instrumental, Music Room, Practice Rooms and Little Theatre.
AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:
- Architectural Noise Control
- AV Systems
- Equalization/Commissioning
- Mechanical/Electrical Noise Control
- Room Acoustics
- Sound Reinforcement Systems
Project Highlights:
These were an interesting pair of renovations to aging existing spaces that made drastic improvements to both room acoustics and the audio-visual systems serving the spaces. New stereo line array systems were installed to provide high-impact audio coverage to all the seats in each auditorium, something that was severely lacking in the old systems.
