St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
St. Joseph’s Catholic Church has created an 800-seat sanctuary addition to their existing church facility in Lincoln, Nebraska.
AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:
- Room acoustics consultation
- Sound reinforcement system design
- On-site system commissioning, including operator training and assistance during the first use
Project Highlights:
AVANT ACOUSTICS’ design incorporates sound absorption and loudspeakers concealed behind fabric panels. This provides proper acoustics and sound distribution while maintaining the aesthetic concerns of the space.
The sound system includes source loudspeakers at the altar and choir area to provide directional realism from these two locations of the sanctuary. Automatic microphone mixing provides natural reinforcement of speech and music without a dedicated sound system operator.
