Project Highlights:

AVANT ACOUSTICS designed the audio-visual systems for a renovated 155,000-square-foot regional office facility. The systems include the following:

• A recording, presentation, and videoconferencing system for the office’s Professional Development Center
• Videoconferencing systems for multiple conference rooms and training rooms of various sizes and configurations
• A videoconferencing system for the hearing room
• Various presentation and audio conferencing systems for huddle spaces, job labs, offices, and other locations

City of Independence Utilities Building

This $11 million project transformed an empty building on a former hospital campus into a LEED Platinum office building. The 47,500-square-foot space now houses three city departments, a customer service center, and a public meeting space.

This project received the 2017 Kansas City Business Journal Capstone Award.

AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:

• Audio-visual system design
• Sound reinforcement system design
• Digital signage design
• On-site commissioning, including operator training and assistance during the first use

Project Highlights:

AVANT ACOUSTICS designed and commissioned AV presentation, sound reinforcement, and conferencing/recording systems for the large training room and large conference room. Both rooms feature wireless audio-video sharing and collaboration capabilities from personal mobile devices such as phones and tablets.  

In addition, AVANT created simple presentation systems for the smaller conference and training spaces.

JE Dunn Corporate Headquarters

The JE Dunn Headquarters is a 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art office building in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  The building’s underfloor air distribution and extensive use of locally obtained materials helped the facility achieve LEED Gold accreditation.

AVANT ACOUSTICS provided the following services:

• Room acoustics and noise control consultation
• Audio-visual and sound reinforcement system design
• On-site system commissioning

Project Highlights:

AVANT ACOUSTICS designed very functional yet cost effective audio-visual and sound reinforcement systems for several conference and training rooms. These systems include touchpanel interfaces, motorized projection screens, and integrated teleconferencing capabilities. 

For JE Dunn’s tiered training room, AVANT created a truly collaborative learning experience with a custom control system, interactive pen display, and classroom software that enables both participants and the instructor to share and interact with content from any computer in the room.
